6th Grade - Ms. Moniz -
Holy Family Catholic School has held a special place in my heart, since my mother taught English Language Arts in the Jr. High for over twenty years. I was blessed to attend HFCS from 6th grade to 8th grade. It was here that, for the first time, I felt challenged in my educational pursuits and supported as a student by a wholistic community of friends, family and faculty. I graduated, with honors, from Christian Brothers High School in 2001 and went on to earn my Bachelor’s Degree in English from UCLA in 2005. I am currently working on my Master’s Degree in English Composition at Sacramento State University, where I am a teaching associate for the English department. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, an eclectic mix of musical tastes, dancing, traveling, great TV series, movies and most importantly, spending time with my family and friends. It is my honor to have the opportunity to serve and teach at HFCS this year.

7th Grade - Mrs. Williams -
I'm Gina Williams and this is my fourth year teaching at Holy Family Catholic Elementary School. Previously, I taught Spanish as a foreign language to all the grade levels. I am now excited to take on the challenge of seventh grade homeroom teacher and teaching in the JR. high. Currently, I am teaching Ancient Civilizations, Medieval Civilizations, US History, Religion for 6th and 7th grades and Spanish for 8th grade.

Prior to teaching at HFCS, I taught at UC Davis, Virginia Tech and Encina High School. I have a Bachelor's In Social Studies and a minor in Spanish from Cal Poly, SLO and Universidad de Granada in Spain. I received my teaching credential and bilingual degree from Sacramento State University and received my Masters of Education and Administration from La Verne University.

In 2005, my husband and I welcomed our son Kiernan and in 2007 our daughter Giada was born. I feel like my professional and personal lives have merged as I am teaching JR. high and going home to JR. high kiddos of my own. When I am not at school we are a huge soccer, volleyball, basketball and water polo family. We also love to travel and when I get a chance reading is a favorite pastime.

I'm delighted to be working at Holy Family Catholic School . HFCS has an amazing faculty and staff, a wonderful parent community and great kids!

8th Grade - Mrs. Remick -
Nearly twenty years ago, I enrolled my three children here at Holy Family Catholic School. I began my journey as a preschool parent and as a witness to the close community; I knew HFCS was the place not only for my children, but for me as well. In 2002, I was hired as a 4th grade teacher, where I spent 9 years before transitioning to Junior High. Since then, I have taught Earth, Life, and Physical Science, Math, and Social Studies. The last sixteen years at HFCS have been exceptionally rewarding and I am blessed to call HFCS home. I am a graduate of CSUS and possess a BS in Forensic Science and Biochemistry. I love to travel, see new places, and enjoy time with family and friends.

Mrs. King served as the Holy Family Youth Minister for 3.5 years. During that time, she earned her Catechist Certificate as well as a 2 year Youth Ministry certification program.
