Holy Family Catholic School has a very active student council . We are proud of the active involvement of our students in raising funds and in helping make the school an active participant in our local communities. Each member of our student council represents Holy Family Catholic School not only at school but outside our school community.

We had a great month. Our first class consisted of storytime for all the grades. I think even the fourth grade enjoyed it. We've worked on greetings and introductions as well as numbers. Below I list words and phrases we have worked on in class. Please practice them with your children. When we complete a topic I will be giving the students an oral assessment. Please do not worry about spelling and writing at this point in time. I will let you know when this will happen so the students can prepare. I anticipate it occurring once a month depending on how long it takes us to get through a theme. As we complete workbook pages, I will be send them home so you have them for review. Visit the Class News section of the website for this week’s Spanish word list.
Grading for Spanish is S+, S, S- as with all specialty classes. I will begin updating Edline with participation points so that the students take the class seriously. Please discuss this with them so that they know that they are receiving credit for this class. I have fun things planned for the class and am looking forward to a great year.
Gracias,
Señora Olmedo
