1. Buy in-stock gift certificates at the Scrip table or in the office. Or order Scrip on Monday and it will be ready for pick up on Friday.
Gift Certificates basic concept:
• HFS buys the certificates at a discount
• HFS families buy the certificates at full face value
• HFS gets the difference as revenue
Example:
Food $75/week x 4 $300/mos
Clothing $ 50/mos
Gas $25/week x 4 $100/mos
Dining Out $ 50/mos
Total $500/mos x 12 mos = $6000 year
The average portion of each scrip purchase is 5%. So, an average family, using these modest spending levels, would earn $300 each year for HFS. A family that works at the program by focusing their spending on scrip participating retailers can earn much more!
2. Register your credit cards or store cards so that a portion of your purchases is given back to HFS each quarter.
Raley’s/Bel Air: Get your pre-registered card at the scrip table. Present it at the check out each time you shop and a percentage of your purchases will be mailed to HFS each quarter.
