Philosophy
Our goal is to provide a safe
and stimulating environment. We encourage
children to explore and interact in their environment. We provide the
foundation for successful achievement in learning by developing an
excitement and enthusiasm for learning through self-confidence.
Socialization skills, such as listening and being listened to,
interacting with other children, treating others with respect, sharing,
taking turns and expressing their feelings verbally are very
important. Expressing our Catholic Faith through role modeling and
daily activities will give introduction to a faith-based environment.
General Information
Our program is designed around the developmental
needs of your child and your needs as parents. We provide an
environment in which your child will grow emotionally, cognitively,
developmentally, and spiritually in a safe and loving environment.
Our staff is carefully selected for their
educational training in Early Childhood Development and their ability
to meet the individual needs of your child with sensitivity,
responsibility and professionalism. We employ a staff of ten
professionals including the Director, Administrative Assistant and
eight preschool teachers. The staff members have been employed from
one to fifteen years with the Diocese of Sacramento.
The Preschool is open Monday through
Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. We accept children age 2 and
potty-trained through age 5. The Center is open year round except for
one week at Christmas and one week at the end of summer, mainly for
cleaning and remodeling.
The preschool portion of our day is in
operation from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The teachers present an age
appropriate Literature-based curriculum, including daily stories that
set the tone for math, science, language and art. The weekly
curriculum also include daily Bible stories, Chapel visits, and prayer
before meals. The students enjoy gymnastics on Mondays, outside play
time, special guests, our annual Christmas Program, Fall Festival and
the Pre-K Graduation.
The Preschool offers a school-age summer
camp program for students Kindergarten through 5th grades during the
months of June, July and August.
California Department of Social Services
and the Community Care Licensing Division recently performed an annual
Licensing Audit. We are proud to say that our Center passed a Full
