Mrs. Taylor Kindergarten:
Last week we practiced recognizing letters Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, Ee, and the numbers 1-6. We also became familiar with the TREASURE BOX. Each Friday the students who received stamps all week for good behavior will be rewarded with a prize from the Treasure Box. I also gave out homework folders that are due back to me this Thursday. This week we will count, recognize, represent, name and order a number of objects. Please be sure to have your child’s shirt tucked into their shorts or pants for school and also at nap time, I provide a plastic mat, but your child may bring a favorite blanket to make them feel more comfortable. Remember, papers sent home in the TT folder stay at home, unless otherwise stated. We will have sharing this Friday; students may bring a picture of their family to tell us about. I’m very proud of the progress our class has made in such a short time; they’re wonderful.

Mrs. Hernandez Third Grade:
Welcome to our 2nd full week of 3rd grade! I hope everyone had a restful weekend. This week we will begin Ch. 2 in our religion text, “We Receive the Sacraments of Initiation”. The students will be tested on Ch. 2, Friday. Please check your child’s binder, in the corrected test folder. I gave the children a sample test on Ch. 1, last Friday, so they would be familiar with the format. How your child performed that will be a good indicator ofhow much they will need to study at home. We will also have a Spelling, Math, and Edit Practice test on Friday. Please make sure they’re understanding the Math pages during homework and then they should do spectacular! Also, a Math “Beginning of the Year Test”, is coming home this week. It is not a score that goes in the grade book; it is a benchmark test. I use it as one tool to measure mathematical progress throughout the school year. Lastly, please send in $5.00 to cover the cost of your child’s planner if you haven’t done so. Thank you, and God bless you!
